As with all our
painted items, we use only non-toxic water based paints
over a sanded and primed base coat. Then we finish with
4 coats of water-based polyurethane gloss varnish that
stands up to an amazing amount of wear.
As each custom painted hand-crafted toy bench/blanket chest is
painted by the artist, Hillary James, without the use
of patterns or stencils, some variability in design
may be expected. (But not much).
